Microneedling

At your appointment, your skin expert at Uniquely You will begin by applying a topical numbing cream to avoid discomfort. Then, using the Microneedling device, a series of small pricks will be made under the skin. This helps stimulate collagen and elastin production, which in turn thickens and smoothes the skin. After the treatment, a healing and soothing serum will be applied to expedite the healing process. 

Immediately after your Microneedling treatment, there will be redness on the skin. Some patients may heal completely after 24 hours. For most patients, it takes up to 24-48 hours for the redness to subside completely. The number of Microneedling treatments vary from person to person, and a number of factors help to determine this number, such as your skin health, how closely you follow post-care instructions, etc. Optimal results can be seen after 3-4 treatments, separated by 4-6 weeks. Some patients may require more treatments based on the severity of their conditions. 1-2 treatments are recommended per year for maintenance.
